Welcome to Autry Learning Center, Inc.

At Autry Learning Center, we have many programs and initiatives designed to improve the educational development and well-being of the children with whom we work.

We have been in business in Cincinnati for 13 years. The Center moved from Beechmont and Collinsdale to Beechmont and Nagel in August of 1998. Mrs. Kathleen Autry has extensive prior experience in the field, including tutoring, as well as operating a facility in Dallas, Texas for ten years before the move here.

Ours is a family business with Mr. Ray Autry running the math, science, and test preparation departments, while Mrs. Autry observes and evaluates the students and also runs the language arts and social studies departments. Mrs. Autry personally oversees every student's program at the center. We have a highly qualified and specialized staff of certified and retired teachers and degreed professionals, as well as college students studying to become educators. Our Center has a homelike atmosphere and is based on the motivation of success.

We approach the child as a whole. We work in coordination with home and school to help the student to become as successful as possible as quickly as possible. We work through academics to deal with social skills, self-esteem, and attentional problems. We have developed a great six session study skills class and we are very proud of our math competency program that runs from Kindergarten through Calculus. In addition, we are excited and proud to offer several reading/language based programs including the Wilson Reading System (based on the Orton-Gillingham approach), Lindamood-Bell Reading Programs that include: LIPS (phoneme Sequencing Program for reading, spelling and speech), Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Benchmark Word Detectives which deals with rhyming and creative writing. We also tutor in foreign languages. In addition, we do test preparation for PSAT/SAT/ACT and the Catholic High School Entrance Exams. 

We tutor all types of students including the highest achievers in the Cincinnati area and those with disabilities and ADHD problems. We hope this brief overview of the work we do at Autry Learning Center has allowed you to become better acquainted with us.
