Autry Learning Center is a family business with Mr. Ray Autry running the math, science, and test preparation departments, while Mrs. Autry observes and evaluates the students and also runs the language arts and social studies departments. Mrs. Autry personally oversees every student's program at the learning center. We have a highly qualified and specialized staff providing a home-like atmosphere to encourage the motivation of success for all tutoring and placement exam testing services.

Tutoring Services
Our personalized tutoring techniques are used to fit different learning styles of students having difficulty in school, as well as students with attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, and learning disabilities. Tutoring options include:

Elementary—Skills building in reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and mathematics.

Middle School—Tutoring in specific subjects with emphasis on organization and study skills.

Transition—Review of eighth grade material and general introduction to all ninth grade subjects. Emphases on time management, organization and other study skills.

High School—Tutorials available for any subject, including college preparatory mathematics, science and languages. Emphasis on organization; note taking and test taking strategies.

High School Entrance Exam Testing Preparation
The program objectives for our entrance exam testing services include:

• Familiarize students with test format. • Reduce test anxiety.	• Show students how to test better, not to teach to the test. • Teach pacing techniques.

These objectives are accomplished by giving a diagnostic test and addressing each student's problem area during summer and fall. Previous successes include:
• 26.1% improvement from diagnostic test to pre-test. • 45.7% improvement in grammar.	• 35.1% improvement in computation.

High School Proficiency Test
Study and practice materials are available for first-time high school entrance exam testing. Additional materials are available to assist those taking a retest.

PSAT/ACT/SAT Exam Preparation
This prep course includes a full review of problem solving techniques, vocabulary, reading comprehension, analogies, and science reasoning. Improvements in excess of 20% can be achieved, and SAT exam preparation is available the entire school year throughout the summer. Format and content include:
• Base review on the result of a diagnostic exam.
• Use of programmed learning approach to allow students to work at their own pace.
• Detailed review and instruction on missed or incorrect problems.
• Individualized approach as opposed to a classroom environment.
